Senior High Youth

Weekly: Every Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Risen Savior Youth (9th through 12th grade and above) meet for fun & fellowship through games, devotions, service projects, and event planning.  High School Youth also have their own Sunday morning Bible study at 9:20 am each week.

Yearly Traditions: Each year the Youth coordinate the food booth at the Broomfield Days community festival, Easter Breakfast, and Lent & Advent Dinners.  Throughout the year, they also do servant events, such as collections for the local food bank and Operation Christmas Child and volunteering at Vacation Bible School (VBS).

Summer Events: Major events in the summer are on a 3-year rotation:  1 year is the National Lutheran Youth Gathering, the next is an extended Servant Event, and the next is a District Youth Gathering.

Other Activities: Lock-Ins, Christian Concert Events, and other Christian events in the Denver Metro area (such as the Revolve Tour and Heavenfest).

Fundraising Events: To help with costs of the major events, the youth also actively participate in fundraisers such as:  Babysitting (Parents' Night Out), Spaghetti Dinner/Silent Auctions, Car Hop and Car Show, Restaurant sponsored nights, and work days.

Planning: Youth activities are planned by the Board of Youth which is consists of both parents and youth, overseen by the Director of Family Life, Kevin Hischke.  For more information about Youth Activities, contact Kevin or the Chairman of the Board of Youth, Craig Conley, through the church office at 303-469-3521.
