Anne has been the Handbell Director for the three choirs at Risen Savior Lutheran Church since 2003 where she also performs clarinet and saxophone.
Anne began playing clarinet at the age of seven. In middle school she started playing saxophone and oboe. During high school she continued to expand her musical slate by playing handbells at church in Lompoc, CA. She was also Drum Major at Cabrillo High School and received the John Phillip Sousa award in 1992.
Continuing her professional education, Anne studied clarinet privately under Virginia Wright in California for five years. As a music major at the University of Colorado at Boulder, she studied clarinet with Dr. Phillip Aaholm and performed in multiple ensembles including the "Golden Buffalo Marching Band".
She works part time as an Administrative Assistant for the City & County of Broomfield at the Paul Derda Recreation Center. Anne also serves as Xi C Province Officer for Sigma Alpha Iota, International Music Fraternity. She is married to her wonderful husband Jason and stays at home with their two children, Gwendolyn and Nathaniel. |
