Becky Arendt

Dr. Rebecca Arendt, soprano, completed her doctoral studies in vocal performance and pedagogy at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2011. She received a Bachelor’s of Music from Stetson University in DeLand, FL and a Master’s of Music from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she was a recipient of the Anderson Voice Scholarship, in May of 2006. In 2007, Becky studied voice at the Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk, Poland where she conducted research on Polish vocal literature.

Becky enjoys an active performance schedule singing various styles of music from classical to contemporary. Her favorite roles include Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, and Lauretta in Pucinni’s Gianni Schicchi. She was also a featured soloist at the Schlern International Music Festival in Voels am Schlern, Italy in July of 2005 and has been the featured singer in the Grammy submitted Celtic group FEAST since 2011.

Becky is a member of the voice faculty at the University of Colorado at Denver and maintains a private voice studio in the Broomfield area.

Becky is the director of the Chancel Choir at Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Broomfield, CO where she and her family are members. She is married to her best friend, Marcin Arendt, Risen Savior’s Director of Music Ministries, and they have two beautiful little girls named Daphne and Sophie.
