Worship Description

Join us for worship!

SUNDAYS

8:00 am

Our traditional worship includes hymns from our Lutheran Worship hymnal and responsive liturgy. Our various music groups, including Chancel Choir, Brass Ensemble, and Handbells are often featured at this service.

9:30 & 11:00 am

Each Sunday, these two contemporary-style worship services use responsive liturgy featuring a variety of praise songs led by the Risen Savior Praise Team. The Handbell choirs and Puppeteers are also occasionally part of these services.

ADVENT AND LENT SEASON

Several weeks prior to Christmas and Easter, we offer midweek services (Wednesdays) at 4:30 and 6:45 p.m. A light supper is served between the services for an additional opportunity for fellowship! Additional services are offered during Holy Week, Easter, Christmas Eve and Day.

Communion is regularly celebrated on the first and third Sundays of the month at all services, and at the Monday Chapel services on the first Monday of each month.

WE WANT YOU TO BE COMFORTABLE IN WORSHIP

Assisted Listening Devices are available. These can be used with or without hearing aids.

Several of our pews are shortened to allow wheelchair access.

Large Print Bulletins are available.

On Sundays, a Professional Staffed Nursery is provided for infants through 3 1/2 years from 9:15 am – Noon.

Sunday School/Bible class is available during the 9:30 am worship service for all ages.

At the 11:00 am service children ages 3 through 1st grade have the opportunity to attend Children’s Church – a lesson just for them – during the sermon.

Busy Bags - Risen Savior recognizes the importance of children in the worship service.  Busy Bags are available for young children who are unable to read the children's bulletins and might otherwise find it difficult to participate in the whole worship experience.

Children's bulletins - Children can pick up a children's bulletin from the hanging folder above the Busy Bags.  The bulletins are targeted for elementary age children who are able to read.  They have activities and Bible lessons that change each week, based on the time of the church year.  Ask an usher to help you find these.
